The Chicago Abortion Fund (CAF) is the largest abortion fund in the country. For over 40 years, CAF has advanced reproductive autonomy and justice by offering financial, logistical, and emotional support to those facing barriers to abortion care.We scaled up in response to the first Trump administration and are currently receiving the largest influx of people seeking abortion care in the country.

Despite this surge over the past seven years, we haven't had to turn anyone away relying on Illinois for care – regardless of who they are or where they are from. In 2025, CAF received over 20,000 support requests on our helpline from people based nationwide. We fund at Planned Parenthoods, independent clinics, hospitals, and Telehealth providers to ensure people can access care, no matter what.
